About Us

Redding Ballet Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ballet company dedicated to enriching our community through the transformative power of dance under the artsitic direction of Diana Christensen. Based in the heart of downtown Redding at The Redding Arts Project, we are proud to be located within the Redding Cultural District, a California state-designated cultural district and part of the Main Street America network. This vibrant setting reflects our commitment to creativity, community, and revitalization through the arts.

We provide exceptional training and performance opportunities for young dancers while fostering a deep appreciation for the performing arts. Founded on the belief that classical ballet should be both artistically inspiring and widely accessible, Redding Ballet Theatre presents professional-caliber productions that bring timeless stories to life and highlight the talent of our local community.

From beloved traditions like The Nutcracker to innovative new works, our performances celebrate artistic excellence and imagination. Through outreach programs, scholarships, and education initiatives, we work to ensure that dance is within reach for all—empowering youth, building confidence, and nurturing lifelong creativity.

At the heart of our mission is the belief that ballet not only shapes skilled dancers but also inspires strong, expressive, and resilient individuals. We invite you to dance with us, dream with us, and be part of the magic.
