When can I register for dance and theatre classes?

Registration offically opens in August for the Fall/Spring season, and May for Summer classes. However, registration is available year round. Click here for the schedule and registration link. .

Do I need to have dance experience to register?

You do not need experience to dance at the RAP. We have classes for all ages and skill levels. Those that are labeled “beginning” mean that no prior experience is needed.

Can I pay per class?

The classes that are labeled “open” allow for students to pay per class. The syllabus (Ballet I, II, III, for example) classes must be paid per month. The RAP also encourages students to pay per session for a discounted rate.

Are there performances for the students and when are they?

The Redding Arts Project sponsors Redding Ballet Theatre’s annual performance of The Nutcracker and students of The RAP are encouraged to audition. Auditions for The Nutcracker are held at the end of August and are also open to the community, including dancers from all dance studios. The RAP also produces a spring performance for RAP students. There are typicially other performance opportunities available throughout the year as well.
